Welcome message from Foster Realty Company Rentals & Sales Divisions...

Welcome to Kinston North Carolina! We tend to say that to just about everyone who relocates to our area... Why? Well, since September of 1941, Foster Realty Company has been and continues to be folks' one and only stop for rental housing. We represent hundreds of investment property owners and service (well, let's just say) a lot of residential leaseholds. With those numbers and experience garnered over the many years, our company has developed a reputation of taking care of both its landlords and their tenants. Our market has been best described as quiet and family-oriented. When you come to Kinston/Lenoir County, you leave behind the "hustle and bustle" of the larger metro areas... Wichita Kansas is a big place... At least that's what we've been told. Prepare to ease into a style of living that you may well say, "Gollie Peat, where've I been all these years!". You will enjoy a laid back style and you are only a bit over an hours drive from the Crystal Coast as well as many other advantages and features offered in Eastern North Carolina. Local shopping and offerings are only augmented by simple drives to neighboring Greenville and Goldsboro. Comparatively speaking, its about like driving into town (in Kansas).. just a lot less traffic and other hassles.

Comments about community comparisons...

Some characteristics of Kinston/Lenoir County versus other/outlying areas:

KINSTON/LENOIR COUNTY-  Small town atmosphere, family oriented approach, no traffic tie-ups, lower cost of living, easy drive to larger shopping areas as well as Eastern Carolina tourist stuff, i.e. - beaches, historical sites, etc. Want to have some inexpensive fun and family time? Go no further than Historic Grainger Stadium, home of the Kinston Indians baseball team.

GREENVILLE- Home to East Carolina University, ECU Medical School, lots of shopping and eating venues... But, also home to higher cost of living, traffic hassles, and the like. If you are accustomed to big city pace; then, Greenville may be an option for you. Whether you are or are not so inclined, you will find that it only takes about 20 minutes to drive from Lenoir County to shop or eat in Greenville. Instead of being stuck in the muck, pick and choose you time or day... Live locally (in Kinston/Lenoir County) to your job.

GOLDSBORO- Home of Seymour-Johnson AFB, this community is located west of Lenoir County. Again, and as with Greenville, you have a more faster pace that may or may not be to your liking. We Lenoir County folks tend to prefer that more laid back, easy-going style of living. We think you will too!

Obtaining a Lease... The Process...

So, how do you go about procuring residence through Foster Realty Company? Well, the short answer is to provide us with some information so we can do the shopping for you. In order to assist you in this endeavor, you can simply click on the SPIRIT Connection above or below, provide us with basic contact information as well as answer a few questions.

A note about how we process Applications... If you will be making Application for a Property as an individual (not through a company), we will be accessing your credit history (with your written permission). The latter occurs after you have inspected and designated a Property. If the leasehold will be procured by your employer, the process becomes quite simple (not that the former is all-that-difficult.. it really isn't). All stated rental is based upon a 12-month term. Furnishings are not included in the stated monthly rental. We will gladly assist your company or you in procuring furnishing, if needed.

Regardless, Foster Realty Company is "ramping up" to assist you in your relocation to Kinston/Lenoir County.

STATE OF THE MARKET... An overview.

The current inventory of available Properties is limited as the economy favors leasing over buying...at least over the next several quarters. In essence, sales are down and leasing is up. Having said that, you have come to the right place. With over 60-years in the business, and being the second oldest licensed Real Estate corporation in North Carolina, we didn't become (by many accounts) the best by not working hard to earn that reputation. Our efforts continue on a daily basis and we will work hard to ease your transition into our community.  "Welcome!"
